Jenny's unique background as a comedian and creative includes a career in labor movement politics, and experience in Ethnic Studies, Asian American studies, and college activism. She has become a reliable resource for academics, professional groups, community organizations and student groups looking to inspire and educate on issues including:

  • Asian Americans in entertainment and media,

  • women in comedy,

  • the role of race and identity in comedy and humor,

  • using art, media, and comedy for social change and

  • finding your voice and career after college.

Storytelling and "elevator pitch" workshops are also available. 

Jenny was one of three keynote speakers for the weeklong, industry-leading NCORE (National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in American Higher Education) in May 2017.  She has been a featured speaker at BlogHer 2016, South By Southwest (SXSW) 2017 and 2018, and Advancing Justice Conference 2016.

She has presented at educational institutions such as Yale University, Brown University, Dartmouth College, University of Pennsylvania (press link), University of Chicago, Columbia University (press link), UC Berkeley, UCLA (press link), UC Santa Cruz (press link), UC Davis (press link), University of Southern California, Wellesley College, Fresno State University, UC Riverside, UC Davis, Hamilton College, Swarthmore College, Pomona College, Scripps College, Chapman University and Loyola Marymount University.

Her storytelling workshops have brought out the vital stories of participants from tech professionals of Pandora radio in Silicon Valley to students and community members of the Boys and Girls Club of Sonoma Valley, InMediate Justice and Fresno State University.
